Genesis 18:19
19For I have achosen ▼▼Hebrew known
him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.” Deuteronomy 6:7
7 cYou shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.Psalms 78:4-8
4We will not dhide them from their children,but etell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
and fthe wonders that he has done.
5 He established ga testimony in hJacob
and appointed a law in iIsrael,
which he commanded our fathers
to teach to their children,
6that jthe next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
7so that they should set their hope in God
and not forget kthe works of God,
but lkeep his commandments;
8and that they should not be mlike their fathers,
na stubborn and rebellious generation,
a generation owhose heart was not steadfast,
whose spirit was not faithful to God.
