him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

Exodus 12:26-27

26And cwhen your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27you shall say, d‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord’s Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people ebowed their heads and worshiped.

Exodus 13:14-15

14 fAnd when in time to come your son asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ you shall say to him, g‘By a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of hslavery. 15For when Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the iLord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of animals. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all the males that first open the womb, but jall the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’

Deuteronomy 4:9

9 kOnly take care, and lkeep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. mMake them known to your children and your children’s children

Deuteronomy 6:20-24

20 o“When your son asks you in time to come, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies and the statutes and the rules that the Lord our God has commanded you?’ 21then you shall say to your son, p‘We were Pharaoh’s slaves in Egypt. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. 22And qthe Lord showed signs and wonders, great and grievous, against Egypt and against Pharaoh and all his household, before our eyes. 23And he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in and give us the land that he swore to give to our fathers. 24And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, rto fear the Lord our God, sfor our good always, that the might preserve us alive, as we are this day.

Deuteronomy 11:19-21

19You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 20 uYou shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, 21 vthat your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, was long as the heavens are above the earth.
