Genesis 19:2-3

2and said, “My lords, aplease turn aside to your servant’s house and spend the night band wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, cNo; we will spend the night in the town square.” 3But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

Judges 19:7-10

7And when the man rose up to go, his father-in-law pressed him, till he spent the night there again. 8And on the fifth day he arose early in the morning to depart. And the girl’s father said, dStrengthen your heart and wait until the day declines.” So they ate, both of them. 9And when the man and his concubine and his servant rose up to depart, his father-in-law, the girl’s father, said to him, “Behold, now the day has waned toward evening. Please, spend the night. Behold, the day draws to its close. Lodge here and let your heart be merry, and tomorrow you shall arise early in the morning for your journey, and go home.”

10But the man would not spend the night. He rose up and departed and arrived opposite eJebus (that is, Jerusalem). He had with him a couple of saddled donkeys, and his concubine was with him.

Luke 14:23

23And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

Luke 24:29

29but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and fthe day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them.

Acts 16:15

15And after she was baptized, gand her household as well, she urged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” And she hprevailed upon us.
