The Seventh Day, God Rests

1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and ^aall the host of them. 2 And ^bon the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.

Exodus 20:11

11 For ^cin six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Exodus 31:17

17 ^dIt is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that ^ein six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and ^fon the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’”
