Genesis 2:20

20The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam
Or the man
there was not found a helper fit for him.

Genesis 2:23

23Then the man said,

This at last is bbone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was ctaken out of Man.”
The Hebrew words for  woman (ishshah) and  man (ish) sound alike

Genesis 5:29

29and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground ethat the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief
 Noah sounds like the Hebrew for rest
from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.”

Genesis 16:11

11And the angel of the Lord said to her,

Behold, you are pregnant
and shall bear a son.
You shall call his name Ishmael,
 Ishmael means God hears

hbecause the Lord has listened to your affliction.

Genesis 29:32-35

32And Leah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Reuben,
 Reuben means See, a son
for she said, “Because the Lord jhas looked upon my affliction; for now my husband will love me.”
33She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because the Lord has heard that I am hated, he has given me this son also.” And she called his name Simeon.
 Simeon sounds like the Hebrew for heard
34Again she conceived and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband will be lattached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” Therefore his name was called Levi.
 Levi sounds like the Hebrew for  attached
35And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “This time I will praise the Lord.” Therefore she called his name nJudah.
 Judah sounds like the Hebrew for  praise
Then she ceased bearing.

Genesis 35:18

18And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni;
 Ben-oni could mean son of my sorrow, or son of my strength
qbut his father called him Benjamin.
 Benjamin means son of the right hand

Exodus 2:10

10When the child grew older, she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became sher son. She named him Moses, “Because,” she said, “I tdrew him out of the water.”
 Moses sounds like the Hebrew for draw out


1 Samuel 1:20

20And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.”
 Samuel sounds like the Hebrew for heard of God


Matthew 1:21

21She will bear a son, and wyou shall call his name Jesus, xfor he will save his people from their sins.”

Matthew 1:23

23 yBehold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name zImmanuel
(which means, God aawith us).
