Genesis 2:21-24

21So the Lord God caused a adeep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made
Hebrew built
into a woman and brought her to the man.
23Then the man said,

This at last is cbone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was dtaken out of Man.”
The Hebrew words for  woman (ishshah) and  man (ish) sound alike

24 fTherefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Psalms 45:10

10 Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear:
forget your people and your father’s house,

Mark 10:5-9

5And Jesus said to them, “Because of your ghardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6But hfrom the beginning of creation, ‘God made them imale and female.’ 7 jTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife,
Some manuscripts omit  and hold fast to his wife
8and lthe two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9 mWhat therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Ephesians 5:31

31 nTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and othe two shall become one flesh.”
