Genesis 2:22-24

22And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made
Hebrew built
into a woman and brought her to the man.
23Then the man said,

This at last is bbone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called Woman,
because she was ctaken out of Man.”
The Hebrew words for  woman (ishshah) and  man (ish) sound alike

24 eTherefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

2 Corinthians 11:1-2

Paul and the False Apostles

1I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! 2For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since fI betrothed you to one husband, gto present you has a pure virgin to Christ.

Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives and Husbands

22 iWives, jsubmit to your own husbands, kas to the Lord. 23For lthe husband is the head of the wife even as mChrist is the head of the church, his body, and is nhimself its Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit oin everything to their husbands.

25 pHusbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and qgave himself up for her, 26that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by rthe washing of water swith the word, 27so tthat he might present the church to himself in splendor, uwithout spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Or holy and blameless
28In the same way whusbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, 30because xwe are members of his body. 31 yTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and zthe two shall become one flesh.” 32This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. 33However, aalet each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she abrespects her husband.
