The Birth of Isaac

1The Lord avisited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah bas he had promised. 2And Sarah cconceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age dat the time of which God had spoken to him.

Genesis 25:21

21And Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And ethe Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Genesis 30:22

22Then God fremembered Rachel, and God listened to her and gopened her womb.

1 Samuel 1:19-20

19They rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord; then they went back to their house at hRamah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord iremembered her. 20And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.”
 Samuel sounds like the Hebrew for heard of God


1 Samuel 2:21-22

21 kIndeed the Lord visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. lAnd the boy Samuel grew in the presence of the Lord.

Eli Rebukes His Sons

22Now Eli was very old, and he kept hearing all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who mwere serving at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
