Genesis 21:14-16

14So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, along with the child, and sent her away. And she departed and wandered in the wilderness of aBeersheba.

15When the water in the skin was gone, she put the child under one of the bushes. 16Then she went and sat down opposite him a good way off, about the distance of a bowshot, for she said, “Let me not look on the death of the child.” And as she sat opposite him, she lifted up her voice and wept.

Numbers 14:33

33And your children bshall be shepherds in the wilderness cforty years and shall dsuffer for your faithlessness, until the last of your dead bodies lies in the wilderness.

Ezekiel 34:6

6they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, pwith none to search or seek for them.

Ezekiel 34:12

12As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on qa day of clouds and rthick darkness.
