Genesis 22:1-2

The Sacrifice of Isaac

1After these things aGod tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to bthe land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Judges 7:5-7

5So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.” 6And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water. 7And the Lord said to Gideon, c“With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.”

Matthew 19:21-22

21Jesus said to him, If you would be dperfect, go, esell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have ftreasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 gWhen the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
