Isaiah 54:9

9 This is like bthe days of Noah
Some manuscripts For this is as the waters of Noah
to me:
as I swore that the waters of Noah
should no more go over the earth,
so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,
and will not rebuke you.

Hebrews 6:13-18

The Certainty of God’s Promise

13For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, dhe swore by himself, 14saying, eSurely I will bless you and multiply you.” 15And thus Abraham,
Greek he
ghaving patiently waited, obtained the promise.
16For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes han oath is final for confirmation. 17So when God desired to show more convincingly to ithe heirs of the promise jthe unchangeable character of his purpose, khe guaranteed it with an oath, 18so that by two unchangeable things, in which lit is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope mset before us.
