19After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah east of Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.Genesis 49:29-31
29Then he commanded them and said to them, “I am to be agathered to my people; bbury me with my fathers cin the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30in the cave that is in the field at Machpelah, to the east of Mamre, in the land of Canaan, dwhich Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite to possess as a burying place. 31 eThere they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife. There fthey buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife, and there I buried Leah—Isaiah 22:16
16What have you to do here, and whom have you here, gthat you have cut out here a tomb for yourself, you hwho cut out a tomb on the height and carve a dwelling for yourself in the rock?Matthew 27:60
60and ilaid it in his own new tomb, jwhich he had cut in the rock. And he rolled ka great stone to the entrance of the tomb and went away.Matthew 27:66
