Genesis 25:23

23 And the Lord said to her,

2 Samuel 8:14

14 Then he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons, ^eand all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.

1 Kings 11:15-17

15 For ^fwhen David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army went up to bury the slain, he struck down every male in Edom 16 (for Joab and all Israel remained there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom). 17 But Hadad fled to Egypt, together with certain Edomites of his father’s servants, Hadad still being a little child.

2 Kings 14:7

10 You have indeed ^kstruck down Edom, ^land your heart has lifted you up. Be content with your glory, and stay at home, for why should you provoke trouble so that you fall, you and Judah with you?”

1 Chronicles 18:11-13

11 These also King David dedicated to the Lord, together with the silver and gold that he had carried off from all the nations, from ^mEdom, Moab, the Ammonites, the Philistines, and Amalek.

12 And ⁿAbishai, the son of Zeruiah, killed 18,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. 13 Then he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went.
