Genesis 27:35-36
35But he said, “Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing.” 36Esau said, a“Is he not rightly named Jacob? ▼▼ Jacob means He takes by the heel, or He cheats
For he has cheated me these two times. cHe took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” Then he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?” Genesis 32:28
28Then he said, d“Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, ▼▼ Israel means He strives with God, or God strives
for fyou have striven with God and gwith men, and have prevailed.” 1 Thessalonians 4:6
6that no one transgress and hwrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is ian avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you.
