43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. Arise, flee to Laban my brother in Haran

12 ^a“Honor your father and your mother, ^bthat your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

3 ^cEvery one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and ^dyou shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

8 ^eHear, my son, your father’s instruction,
and forsake not your mother’s teaching,

17 The eye that ^fmocks a father
and ^gscorns to obey a mother
will ^hbe picked out by ⁱthe ravens of the valley
and eaten by the vultures.

1 ^jChildren, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

3 “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

20 Children, obey your parents ^kin everything, for this pleases the Lord.
