20Then Jacob amade a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,

Genesis 48:15-16

15And he blessed Joseph and said,

“The God bbefore whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,
16 cthe angel who has dredeemed me from all evil, bless the boys;
and in them let emy name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
and let them fgrow into a multitude
Or  let them be like fish for multitude
in the midst of the earth.”

Exodus 16:15

15When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, h“What is it?”
Or “It is manna.” Hebrew man hu
For they jdid not know what it was. And Moses said to them, k“It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.

Exodus 16:18

18But when they measured it with an omer, lwhoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat.

Exodus 16:21-22

21Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted.

22On mthe sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses,

Exodus 16:29

29See! The Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day.”

Exodus 16:35

35The people of Israel nate the manna forty years, till they came to a habitable land. They ate the manna till othey came to the border of the land of Canaan.
