Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel

1Then Jacob went on his journey and came to athe land of the people of the east.

Jeremiah 49:28-29

Judgment on Kedar and Hazor

28Concerning oKedar and the kingdoms of Hazor that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck down.

Thus says the Lord:
p“Rise up, advance against qKedar!
Destroy rthe people of the east!
29 sTheir tents and their flocks shall be taken,
their tcurtains and all their goods;
their camels shall be led away from them,
and men shall cry to them: uTerror on every side!’

Jeremiah 49:31-32

31 v“Rise up, advance against a nation wat ease,
xthat dwells securely,

declares the Lord,
ythat has no gates or bars,
that dwells alone.
32 zTheir camels shall become plunder,
their herds of livestock a spoil.
aaI will scatter to every wind
abthose who cut the corners of their hair,
and I will bring their calamity
from every side of them,

declares the Lord.
