Genesis 29:18

18Jacob loved Rachel. And he said, a“I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.”

Genesis 29:20

20So Jacob bserved seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.

Genesis 29:30-31

30So Jacob went in to Rachel also, and he loved Rachel more than Leah, and served Laban cfor another seven years.

Jacob’s Children

31When the Lord saw that Leah was dhated, ehe opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.

Genesis 29:33

33She conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because the Lord has heard that I am hated, he has given me this son also.” And she called his name Simeon.
 Simeon sounds like the Hebrew for heard

1 Samuel 1:4-5

4On the day when Elkanah sacrificed, ghe would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters. 5But to Hannah he gave a double portion, because he loved her, though the Lord had closed her womb.
