Genesis 3:1

The Fall

1Now athe serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.

He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You
In Hebrew  you is plural in verses 1–5
shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”

2 Samuel 14:2

2And Joab sent to cTekoa and brought from there a wise woman and said to her, “Pretend to be a mourner and put on mourning garments. dDo not anoint yourself with oil, but behave like a woman who has been mourning many days for the dead.

2 Samuel 14:19-20

19The king said, “Is the hand of Joab with you in all this?” The woman answered and said, e“As surely as you live, my lord the king, one cannot turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has said. It was your servant Joab who commanded me; fit was he who put all these words in the mouth of your servant. 20In order to change the course of things your servant Joab did this. But my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of gthe angel of God to know all things that are on the earth.”

Jeremiah 4:22

22 For hmy people are foolish;
they know me not;
they are stupid children;
they have no understanding.
iThey are ‘wise’—in doing evil!
But how to do good they know not.”

1 Corinthians 3:19

19For jthe wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, k“He catches the wise in their craftiness,”
