1Now athe serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made.He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You ▼

will cry in its towers,and gjackals in hthe pleasant palaces;
its time is close at hand
and its days will not be prolonged.
Isaiah 43:20
20The wild beasts will honor me,ithe jackals and the ostriches,
jfor I give water in the wilderness,
rivers in the desert,
to give drink to my chosen people,

15This is the exultant citykthat lived securely,
that said in her heart,
