Genesis 3:13-14

13Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, a“The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14The Lord God said to the serpent,

Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock
and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and bdust you shall eat
all the days of your life.

Genesis 27:35-36

35But he said, “Your brother came deceitfully, and he has taken away your blessing.” 36Esau said, c“Is he not rightly named Jacob?
 Jacob means He takes by the heel, or He cheats
For he has cheated me these two times. eHe took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing.” Then he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

Genesis 27:41-45

41Now Esau fhated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, g“The days of mourning for my father are approaching; hthen I will kill my brother Jacob.” 42But the words of Esau her older son were told to Rebekah. So she sent and called Jacob her younger son and said to him, “Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself about you by planning to kill you. 43Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. Arise, flee to Laban my brother in Haran 44and stay with him a while, until your brother’s fury turns away 45until your brother’s anger turns away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send and bring you from there. Why should I be bereft of you both in one day?”

Genesis 29:25

25And in the morning, behold, it was Leah! And Jacob said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? Did I not serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?”

2 Corinthians 11:3

3But I am afraid that ias the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts jwill be led astray from a ksincere and lpure devotion to Christ.
