Genesis 3:17-18

17And to Adam he said,

Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree
aof which I commanded you,
‘You shall not eat of it,’
bcursed is the ground because of you;
cin pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.

Genesis 4:11-12

11And now dyou are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”

Genesis 5:29

29and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground ethat the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief
 Noah sounds like the Hebrew for rest
from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.”

Genesis 8:21-22

21And when the Lord smelled gthe pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again hcurse
Or dishonor
the ground because of man, for jthe intention of man’s heart is evil from his youth. kNeither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done.
22 lWhile the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, mday and night, shall not cease.”

Deuteronomy 28:55

55so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children whom he is eating, because he has nothing else left, nin the siege and in the distress with which your enemy shall distress you in all your towns.

1 Kings 17:5

5So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan.

1 Kings 17:12

12And she said, t“As the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.”
