Genesis 3:17-18

17 And to Adam he said,

^cin pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.

Genesis 6:11-13

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God ^dsaw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, ^efor all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, ^f“I have determined to make an end of all flesh, ^{▼▼Hebrew The end of all flesh has come before me} for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Leviticus 18:24-28

24 ^h“Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, ⁱfor by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, 25 and the ^jland became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land ^kvomited out its inhabitants. 26 But ^lyou shall keep my statutes and my rules and do none of these abominations, either the ^mnative or the stranger who sojourns among you 27 (for the people of the land, who were before you, did all of these abominations, so that the land became unclean), 28 lest the land vomit you out when you make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

Leviticus 20:22

You Shall Be Holy

22 ⁿ“You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my rules and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to live may not ^ovomit you out.

Numbers 35:33-34

33 You shall not ^ppollute the land in which you live, for blood ^qpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except ^rby the blood of the one who shed it. 34 ^sYou shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, ^tfor I the Lord dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.”

2 Chronicles 33:9
