Genesis 3:17-19

17And to Adam he said,

Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree
aof which I commanded you,
‘You shall not eat of it,’
bcursed is the ground because of you;
cin pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19By the sweat of your face
you shall eat bread,
till you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken;
dfor you are dust,
and eto dust you shall return.”

Job 5:7

7but man is fborn to trouble
as the sparks fly upward.

Job Continues: Death Comes Soon to All

1 Man who is gborn of a woman
is hfew of days and ifull of trouble.

Psalms 32:4

4For day and night your jhand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up

like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.

Psalms 90:7-10

7 For we are brought to an end by your anger;
by your wrath we are dismayed.
8You have mset our iniquities before you,
our nsecret sins in the light of your presence.
9 For all our days pass away under your wrath;
we bring our years to an end like a sigh.
10The years of our life are seventy,
or even by reason of strength eighty;
yet their span
Or pride
is but toil and trouble;
they are soon gone, and we fly away.

Matthew 23:4

4 pThey tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear,
Some manuscripts omit  hard to bear
and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.
