Or  to give insight
she took of its fruit band ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, cand he ate.
7 dThen the eyes of both were opened, eand they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

8And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool
Hebrew wind
of the day, and the man and his wife ghid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
In Hebrew  you is singular in verses 9 and 11
10And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, ibecause I was naked, and I hid myself.” 11He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” 12The man said, j“The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”

Genesis 4:5-14

5but kfor Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. 6The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? 7 lIf you do well, will you not be accepted?
Hebrew  will there not be a lifting up [of your face]?
And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. nIts desire is contrary to
Or is toward
you, but you must rule over it.”

8Cain spoke to Abel his brother.
Hebrew; Samaritan, Septuagint, Syriac, Vulgate add Let us go out to the field
And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and qkilled him.
9Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, r“I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?” 10And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood sis crying to me from the ground. 11And now tyou are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.” 13Cain said to the Lord, “My upunishment is greater than I can bear.
Or My guilt is too great to bear
14Behold, wyou have driven me today away from the ground, and xfrom your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, yand whoever finds me will kill me.”

Numbers 16:19-41

19Then Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the entrance of the tent of meeting. zAnd the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.

20And the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 21 aaSeparate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them abin a moment.” 22And they acfell on their faces and said, “O God, adthe God of the spirits of all flesh, aeshall one man sin, and will you be angry with all the congregation?” 23And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24Say to the congregation, Get away from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.”

25Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26And he spoke to the congregation, saying, afDepart, please, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be swept away with all their sins.” 27So they got away from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. And Dathan and Abiram came out and stood agat the door of their tents, together with their wives, their sons, and their little ones. 28And Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been ahof my own accord. 29If these men die as all men die, or if they are visited by the fate of all mankind, aithen the Lord has not sent me. 30But if the Lord creates something new, and ajthe ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they akgo down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”

31 alAnd as soon as he had finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split apart. 32And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and amall the people who belonged to Korah and all their goods. 33So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and anthey perished from the midst of the assembly. 34And all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!” 35And aofire came out from the Lord and consumed apthe 250 men offering the incense.

Ch 17:1 in Hebrew
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
37Tell Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest to take up the censers out of the blaze. Then scatter the fire far and wide, for they have become holy. 38As for the censers of arthese men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they offered them before the Lord, and they became holy. asThus they shall be a sign to the people of Israel.” 39So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers, which those who were burned had offered, and they were hammered out as a covering for the altar, 40to be a reminder to the people of Israel, so atthat no outsider, who is not of the descendants of Aaron, should draw near to burn incense before the Lord, lest he become like Korah and his company—as the Lord said to him through Moses.

41But on the next day all the congregation of the people of Israel augrumbled against Moses and against Aaron, saying, “You have killed the people of the Lord.”

Numbers 17:12-13

12And the people of Israel said to Moses, “Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone. 13 avEveryone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the Lord, shall die. Are we all to perish?”

1 Samuel 13:13

13And Samuel said to Saul, aw“You have done foolishly. axYou have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

1 Samuel 15:23

23For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
and presumption is as iniquity and ayidolatry.
Because azyou have rejected the word of the Lord,
bahe has also rejected you from being king.”
