Deuteronomy 4:33-36

33 eDid any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? 34Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, fby signs, by wonders, and gby war, hby a mighty hand and ian outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35To you it was shown, jthat you might know that the Lord is God; kthere is no other besides him. 36 lOut of heaven he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and myou heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

Acts 28:25-28

25And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: tThe Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

26 u“‘Go to this people, and say,
v“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 wFor this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and xturn, and I would heal them.’
28Therefore let it be known to you that ythis zsalvation of God aahas been sent to the Gentiles; abthey will listen.”
Some manuscripts add verse 29: And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, having much dispute among themselves
