Genesis 3:17-19

17And to Adam he said,

Because you have listened to the voice of your wife
and have eaten of the tree
bof which I commanded you,
‘You shall not eat of it,’
ccursed is the ground because of you;
din pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19By the sweat of your face
you shall eat bread,
till you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken;
efor you are dust,
and fto dust you shall return.”

Job 14:1-4

Job Continues: Death Comes Soon to All

1 Man who is gborn of a woman
is hfew of days and ifull of trouble.
2He comes out like ja flower and kwithers;
he flees like la shadow and continues not.
3And do you mopen your eyes on such a one
and nbring me into judgment with you?
4Who can bring oa clean thing out of an unclean?

6Surely a man pgoes about as a shadow!
Surely for nothing

man rheaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!
