Genesis 30:3-6

3Then she said, “Here is my servant aBilhah; go in to her, so that she may give birth bon my behalf,
Hebrew  on my knees
that even I may have children
Hebrew be built up, which sounds like the Hebrew for  children
through her.”
4So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her. 5And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son. 6Then Rachel said, “God has ejudged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan.
 Dan sounds like the Hebrew for  judged

Joshua 19:40-47

The Inheritance for Dan

40The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans. 41And the territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, 42 gShaalabbin, hAijalon, Ithlah, 43Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 44Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 45Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, 46and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against iJoppa. 47When jthe territory of the people of Dan was lost to them, the people of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and striking it with the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor.

Judges 18:26-29

26Then the people of Dan went their way. And when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his home.

27But the people of Dan took what Micah had made, and the priest who belonged to him, and they came to Laish, to a people kquiet and unsuspecting, and lstruck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire. 28And there was no deliverer because it was mfar from Sidon, and they had no dealings with anyone. It was in the valley that belongs to nBeth-rehob. Then they rebuilt the city and lived in it. 29And they named the city oDan, after the name of Dan their ancestor, who was born to Israel; but pthe name of the city was Laish at the first.

2 Samuel 24:2

2So the king said to Joab, the commander of the army,
Septuagint  to Joab and the commanders of the army
who was with him, “Go through all the tribes of Israel, rfrom Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.”

1 Kings 12:28-29

28So the king took counsel and smade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. tBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan.
