Genesis 30:3-6

Joshua 19:40-47

The Inheritance for Dan

40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the people of Dan, according to their clans. 41 And the territory of its inheritance included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-shemesh, 42 ^gShaalabbin, ^hAijalon, Ithlah, 43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 45 Jehud, Bene-berak, Gath-rimmon, 46 and Me-jarkon and Rakkon with the territory over against ⁱJoppa. 47 When ^jthe territory of the people of Dan was lost to them, the people of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and after capturing it and striking it with the sword they took possession of it and settled in it, calling Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor.

Judges 18:26-29

26 Then the people of Dan went their way. And when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his home.

27 But the people of Dan took what Micah had made, and the priest who belonged to him, and they came to Laish, to a people ^kquiet and unsuspecting, and ^lstruck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire. 28 And there was no deliverer because it was ^mfar from Sidon, and they had no dealings with anyone. It was in the valley that belongs to ⁿBeth-rehob. Then they rebuilt the city and lived in it. 29 And they named the city ^oDan, after the name of Dan their ancestor, who was born to Israel; but ^pthe name of the city was Laish at the first.

2 Samuel 24:2

2 So the king said to Joab, the commander of the army, ^{▼▼Septuagint to Joab and the commanders of the army} who was with him, “Go through all the tribes of Israel, ^rfrom Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.”

1 Kings 12:28-29

28 So the king took counsel and ^smade two calves of gold. And he said to the people, “You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. ^tBehold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.” 29 And he set one in Bethel, and the other he put in Dan.
