39 What was torn by wild beasts I did not bring to you. I bore the loss of it myself. ^aFrom my hand you required it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. 40 There I was: by day the heat consumed me, and the cold by night, and my sleep fled from my eyes.

Exodus 3:1-2

The Burning Bush

1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the ^bmountain of God. 2 ^cAnd ^dthe angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush.
