3For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5As the bridegroom dwas delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6But eat midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7Then all those virgins rose and ftrimmed their lamps. 8And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and gthose who were ready went in with him to hthe marriage feast, and ithe door was shut.

1 Thessalonians 2:9

9For you remember, brothers, jour labor and toil: we kworked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

2 Thessalonians 3:7-9

7For you yourselves know lhow you ought to imitate us, because mwe were not idle when we were with you, 8nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but nwith toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. 9It was onot because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves pan example to imitate.
