Genesis 31:44-48

44Come now, alet us make a covenant, you and I. bAnd let it be a witness between you and me.” 45So Jacob ctook a stone and set it up as a pillar. 46And Jacob said to his kinsmen, “Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap. 47Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha,
Aramaic the heap of witness
but Jacob called it Galeed.
Hebrew the heap of witness
48Laban said, fThis heap is a witness between you and me today.” Therefore he named it Galeed,

Genesis 31:52

52 gThis heap is a witness, and the pillar is a witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and you will not pass over this heap and this pillar to me, to do harm.

Joshua 22:27-28

27but to be ha witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we ido perform the service of the Lord in his presence with our burnt offerings and sacrifices and peace offerings, so your children will not say to our children in time to come, “You have no portion in the Lord.”’ 28And we thought, ‘If this should be said to us or to our descendants in time to come, we should say, “Behold, the copy of the altar of the Lord, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifice, but to be ja witness between us and you.”’

Joshua 24:27

27And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, kthis stone shall be a witness against us, for lit has heard all the words of the Lord that he spoke to us. Therefore it shall be a witness against you, lest you deal falsely with your God.”
