Israel’s War with the Tribe of Benjamin
1Then call the people of Israel came out, dfrom Dan to Beersheba, including the land of Gilead, and the congregation assembled as one man to the Lord at eMizpah.Judges 21:5
5And the people of Israel said, “Which of all the tribes of Israel did not come up in the assembly to the Lord?” fFor they had taken a great oath concerning him who did not come up to the Lord to Mizpah, saying, “He shall surely be put to death.”Judges 21:8
8And they said, “What one is there of the tribes of Israel that did not come up to the Lord to Mizpah?” And behold, no one had come to the camp from gJabesh-gilead, to the assembly.1 Samuel 7:5-7
5Then Samuel said, “Gather all Israel at hMizpah, and I will pray to the Lord for you.” 6So they gathered at iMizpah jand drew water and poured it out before the Lord kand fasted on that day and said there, l“We have sinned against the Lord.” And Samuel judged the people of Israel at Mizpah. 7Now when the Philistines heard that the people of Israel had gathered at Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the people of Israel heard of it, they were afraid of the Philistines.1 Samuel 10:17
