Genesis 32:25-28

25When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. 26Then he said, “Let me go, for the day has broken.” But Jacob said, a“I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” 28Then he said, b“Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel,
 Israel means He strives with God, or God strives
for dyou have striven with God and ewith men, and have prevailed.”

Exodus 32:10

10Now therefore flet me alone, that gmy wrath may burn hot against them and hI may consume them, in order that iI may make a great nation of you.”

Deuteronomy 9:14

14 jLet me alone, that I may destroy them and kblot out their name from under heaven. And lI will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.’

My Refuge and My Fortress

1 He who dwells in mthe shelter of the Most High
will abide in nthe shadow of the Almighty.

and from the deadly pestilence.
4He will tcover you with his pinions,

5 yYou will not fear zthe terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8You will only look with your eyes
and aasee the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your abdwelling place

Or For you, O Lord, are my refuge! You have made the Most High your dwelling place

10 aeno evil shall be allowed to befall you,

Isaiah 65:8
