27 And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” 28 Then he said, ^a“Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, ^{▼▼ Israel means He strives with God, or God strives} for ^cyou have striven with God and ^dwith men, and have prevailed.”
