Genesis 35:1

God Blesses and Renames Jacob

1 God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to ^aBethel and dwell there. Make an altar there to the God who appeared to you ^bwhen you fled from your brother Esau.”

Genesis 35:3

3 Then let us arise and go up to Bethel, so that I may make there an altar to the God ^cwho answers me in the day of my distress and ^dhas been with me wherever I have gone.”

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5

4 When ^eyou vow a vow to God, ^fdo not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. ^gPay what you vow. 5 ^hIt is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay.
