to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him. Genesis 35:14
14And Jacob bset up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a drink offering on it and poured oil on it.1 Samuel 10:2
2When you depart from me today, you will meet two men by cRachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah, and they will say to you, d‘The donkeys that you went to seek are found, and now eyour father has ceased to care about the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, “What shall I do about my son?”’2 Samuel 18:17-18
17And they took Absalom and threw him into a great pit in the forest and raised over him fa very great heap of stones. And all Israel gfled every one to his own home. 18Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and set up for himself hthe pillar that is in ithe King’s Valley, for he said, j“I have no son to keep my name in remembrance.” He called the pillar after his own name, and it is called Absalom’s monument ▼▼Or Absalom’s hand
to this day.
