Genesis 37:22

22And Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood; throw him into this pit here in the wilderness, but do not lay a hand on him”— athat he might rescue him out of their hand to restore him to his father.

Genesis 37:26-28

26Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it bif we kill our brother and conceal his blood? 27Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and clet not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. 28Then dMidianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and esold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

Jeremiah 13:15-17

Exile Threatened

15 Hear and give ear; be not proud,
for the Lord has spoken.
16 gGive glory to the Lord your God
hbefore he brings darkness,
before your feet stumble
on the twilight mountains,
and iwhile you look for light
he turns it into gloom
and makes it jdeep darkness.
17But if you will not listen,
kmy soul will weep in secret for your pride;

because the Lord’s flock has been taken captive.

Matthew 27:4

Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified

Acts 5:34-39

He was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37After him Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of xthe census and drew away some of the people after him. He too perished, and all who followed him were scattered. 38So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for yif this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; 39but zif it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You aamight even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice,
