Genesis 37:26-28

26Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it aif we kill our brother and conceal his blood? 27Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and blet not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. 28Then cMidianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and dsold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

Zechariah 11:12-13

12Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages fthirty pieces of silver. 13Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”— gthe lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the hthirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter.

Matthew 27:3-5

Judas Hangs Himself

3Then when iJudas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus

was condemned, khe changed his mind and brought back lthe thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,
4saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? mSee to it yourself.” 5And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, nhe departed, and he went and hanged himself.

Acts 1:18
