Genesis 37:27-28

27Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and alet not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. 28Then bMidianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and csold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

Genesis 37:36

36Meanwhile ethe Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, fthe captain of the guard.

1Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt, and gPotiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, hhad bought him from the iIshmaelites who had brought him down there.
