Genesis 38:11

11Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, aRemain a widow in your father’s house, till Shelah my son grows up”—for he feared that he would die, like his brothers. So Tamar went and remained bin her father’s house.

Genesis 38:24

24About three months later Judah was told, “Tamar your daughter-in-law chas been immoral.
Or  has committed prostitution
Moreover, she is pregnant by immorality.”

Punishments for Sexual Immorality

10“If a gman commits adultery with the wife of
Hebrew repeats if a man commits adultery with the wife of
his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Deuteronomy 22:22-24

22 iIf a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. jSo you shall purge the evil from Israel.

23If there is a kbetrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, 24then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor’s wife. lSo you shall purge the evil from your midst.

Ezekiel 16:40

40 mThey shall bring up a crowd against you, nand they shall stone you and cut you to pieces with their swords.

Ezekiel 23:45-47

45But righteous men oshall pass judgment on them with the sentence of adulteresses, and with the sentence of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is on their hands.”

46For thus says the Lord God: p“Bring up a vast host against them, and make them qan object of terror and ra plunder. 47 sAnd the host shall stone them and cut them down with their swords. tThey shall kill their sons and their daughters, and uburn up their houses.
