7But Er, Judah’s firstborn, awas wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord put him to death. 8Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to byour brother’s wife and cperform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” 9But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother’s wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother. 10And what he did was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death also.

The Death of Nadab and Abihu

1Now dNadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, eeach took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered funauthorized

2And fire hcame out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

full of milk
and kthe marrow of his bones moist.
25Another dies in lbitterness of soul,
never having tasted of prosperity.

Psalms 55:23

23 But you, O God, nwill cast them down
into othe pit of destruction;
men of pblood and treachery
shall not qlive out half their days.
