10And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood ais crying to me from the ground. 11And now byou are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Numbers 35:32-33

32And you shall accept no ransom for him who has fled to his city of refuge, that he may return to dwell in the land before the death of the high priest. 33You shall not cpollute the land in which you live, for blood dpollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except eby the blood of the one who shed it.

Job 16:18

18 “O earth, fcover not my blood,
and let my gcry find no resting place.

Ezekiel 24:7-8

7For the blood she has shed is in her midst; she put it on hthe bare rock; ishe did not pour it out on the ground to cover it with dust. 8To rouse my wrath, to take vengeance, I have set on the bare rock the blood she has shed, that it may not be covered.
