3In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of athe fruit of the ground, 4and Abel also brought of bthe firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord chad regard for Abel and his offering,

Exodus 3:2

2 dAnd ethe angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.

Leviticus 6:13

13Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

Judges 6:21

Judges 13:23

23But his wife said to him, “If the Lord had meant to kill us, he would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering at our hands, or shown us all these things, or now announced to us such things as these.”

1 Kings 18:38

38 jThen the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
