Genesis 4:3-5

3In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of athe fruit of the ground, 4and Abel also brought of bthe firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord chad regard for Abel and his offering, 5but dfor Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell.

1 Samuel 3:14

14Therefore I swear to the house of Eli ethat the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”

1 Samuel 15:22-23

22And Samuel said,

f“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, gto obey is better than sacrifice,
and to listen than the fat of rams.
23For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
and presumption is as iniquity and hidolatry.
Because iyou have rejected the word of the Lord,
jhe has also rejected you from being king.”

Isaiah 61:8

8 kFor I the Lord love justice;
I hate robbery and wrong;
Or  robbery with a burnt offering

mI will faithfully give them their recompense,
nand I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

Isaiah 66:3

3 o“He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man;
he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck;
he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers ppig’s blood;
he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol.
qThese have chosen their own ways,
and their soul delights in their abominations;

Amos 5:22

22 rEven though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
and the peace offerings of your fattened animals,
I will not look upon them.

Malachi 2:10

Judah Profaned the Covenant

10Have we not all sone Father? Has not tone God created us? Why then are we ufaithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
