1 Samuel 23:22-23

22Go, make yet more sure. Know and see the place where his foot is, and who has seen him there, for it is told me that he is very cunning. 23See therefore and take note of all the lurking places where he hides, and come back to me with sure information. Then I will go with you. And if he is in the land, I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”

2 Samuel 17:2-4

2I will come upon him while he is aweary and discouraged and throw him into a panic, and all the people who are with him will flee. bI will strike down only the king, 3and I will bring all the people back to you as a bride comes home to her husband. You seek the life of only one man,
Septuagint; Hebrew  back to you. Like the return of the whole is the man whom you seek
and all the people will be at peace.”
4And the advice seemed right in the eyes of Absalom and all the elders of Israel.
