Genesis 4:8-11

8Cain spoke to Abel his brother.
Hebrew; Samaritan, Septuagint, Syriac, Vulgate add Let us go out to the field
And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and bkilled him.
9Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, c“I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?” 10And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood dis crying to me from the ground. 11And now eyou are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

Hebrews 11:4

4By faith fAbel offered to God ga more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And hthrough his faith, though he died, he istill speaks.

Hebrews 12:24

24and to Jesus, jthe mediator of a new covenant, and to kthe sprinkled blood lthat speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

1 John 3:12

12We should not be like mCain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? nBecause his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.
