Naaman Healed of Leprosy

1 bNaaman, ccommander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high favor, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13

1 Chronicles 4:9

9Jabez was emore honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.”
 Jabez sounds like the Hebrew for  pain

Isaiah 3:3-5

3the captain of fifty
and the man of rank,
the counselor and the skillful magician
and the expert in charms.
4 gAnd I will make boys their princes,
and infants
Or caprice
shall rule over them.
5 iAnd the people will oppress one another,
every one his fellow
and every one his neighbor;
the youth will be insolent to the elder,
and the despised to the honorable.

Isaiah 5:13

13 Therefore my people go into exile
jfor lack of knowledge;
Or without their knowledge

their lhonored men go hungry,
Or die of hunger

and their multitude is parched with thirst.

Isaiah 23:8-9

8Who has purposed this
against Tyre, the bestower of crowns,
whose merchants were princes,
whose traders were the honored of the earth?
9The Lord of hosts has purposed it,
nto defile the pompous pride of all glory,
The Hebrew words for  glory and  hosts sound alike

to dishonor all the honored of the earth.
