Genesis 41:52

52The name of the second he called Ephraim, “For God has amade me fruitful in the land of my affliction.”
 Ephraim sounds like the Hebrew for making fruitful


Genesis 48:16-20

16 cthe angel who has dredeemed me from all evil, bless the boys;
and in them let emy name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
and let them fgrow into a multitude
Or  let them be like fish for multitude
in the midst of the earth.”
17When Joseph saw that his father hlaid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. 18And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.” 19But his father refused and said, i“I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, jhis younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude
Hebrew fullness
of nations.”
20So he blessed them that day, saying,

“By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying,
lGod make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’”
Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.

Genesis 49:22

22 Joseph is ma fruitful bough,
a fruitful bough by a spring;
his branches run over the wall.
Or  Joseph is a wild donkey, a wild donkey beside a spring, his wild colts beside the wall

Deuteronomy 33:17

17 oA firstborn bull

Job 18:5

5 Indeed, tthe light of the wicked is put out,
and the flame of his fire does not shine.

Job 18:18-19

18 uHe is thrust from light into darkness,
and driven out of the world.
19He has no vposterity or progeny among his people,
and no survivor where he used to live.
