21Then they said to one another, a“In truth we are guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he begged us and we did not listen. That is why this distress has come upon us.”

2 Kings 4:27-28

27And when she came bto the mountain to the man of God, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came to push her away. But the man of God said, “Leave her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.” 28Then she said, “Did I ask my lord for a son? cDid I not say, ‘Do not deceive me?’”

Matthew 26:37-38

37And taking with him dPeter and ethe two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38Then he said to them, fMy soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and gwatch
Or keep awake; also verses 40, 41
with me.”

Luke 22:44

44And ibeing in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
