Daniel’s Terrifying Vision of a Man

1 nIn the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel, owho was named Belteshazzar. And pthe word was true, and it was a great conflict.
Or  and it was about a great conflict
And rhe understood the word and shad understanding of the vision.

2In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for tthree weeks. 3I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I uanoint myself at all, for vthe full three weeks. 4On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing won the bank of the great river ( xthat is, the Tigris) 5 yI lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, za man clothed in linen, aawith a belt of fine abgold from Uphaz around his waist. 6His body was like acberyl, his face adlike the appearance of lightning, aehis eyes like flaming torches, his arms and aflegs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and agthe sound of his words like the sound of a multitude. 7 ahAnd I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves. 8So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and aino strength was left in me. My radiant appearance was fearfully changed,
Hebrew  My splendor was changed to ruin
akand I retained no strength.
9Then I heard the sound of his words, aland as I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in deep sleep amwith my face to the ground.

10And behold, ana hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11And he said to me, “O Daniel, aoman greatly loved, apunderstand the words that I speak to you, and aqstand upright, for arnow I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12Then he said to me, asFear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you atset your heart to understand and auhumbled yourself before your God, avyour words have been heard, awand I have come because of your words. 13 axThe prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me aytwenty-one days, but azMichael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia, 14 baand came to make you understand what is to happen to your people bbin the latter days. For bcthe vision is for days yet to come.”

15When he had spoken to me according to these words, bdI turned my face toward the ground beand was mute. 16And behold, bfone in the likeness of the children of man bgtouched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. I said to him who stood before me, “O my lord, by reason of the vision pains have come upon me, and bhI retain no strength.

Acts 10:10-17

10And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into bia trance 11and saw bjthe heavens opened and something like a great sheet descending, being let down by its four corners upon the earth. 12In it were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air. 13And there came a voice to him: Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” 14But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; bkfor I have never eaten anything that is blcommon or bmunclean.” 15And the voice came to him again a second time, bnWhat God has made clean, do not call common.” 16This happened three times, and the thing was taken up at once to heaven.

17Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what bothe vision that he had seen might mean, behold, bpthe men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon’s house, stood at the gate
